About certificatesofconformity.co.za
certificatesofconformity.co.za is an independent reference publication and vault infrastructure operated by LinkDaddy® LLC, a Florida limited liability company domiciled at 509 N Prescott Avenue, Suite B, Clearwater, Florida 33755, United States. The platform is part of the LinkDaddy® regulatory infrastructure network, which includes pvoc.co.za, sansstandards.co.za, and digitalproductpassports.co.za.
What This Platform Does
certificatesofconformity.co.za provides a tamper-proof Certificate of Conformity (CoC) hashing and verification service designed for South African importers. The platform enables importers to register their CoC documents on a permanent, publicly verifiable ledger — satisfying the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) requirements enforced by SARS Customs and the Border Management Authority (BMA).
The platform computes a SHA-256 cryptographic hash of each uploaded CoC PDF client-side in the user's browser using the Web Cryptography API. The original document content is never transmitted to the server in plaintext. Only the hash and associated metadata are stored.
Network Operator Framing
LinkDaddy® LLC operates certificatesofconformity.co.za as a network infrastructure provider. The platform does not issue Certificates of Conformity. It does not inspect goods. It does not certify compliance with any SANS standard. Those functions are performed by accredited conformity assessment bodies (CCIC, SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas) appointed by NRCS and SABS.
The platform's role is to provide the digital infrastructure that allows importers to register, vault, and publicly verify the authenticity of CoC documents obtained from accredited issuing bodies.
Independence Statement
certificatesofconformity.co.za is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating under the authority of SABS, NRCS, CCIC, SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, or any South African government body. It is an independent reference publication and infrastructure service published by a US-domiciled entity.
The Regulatory Context
South Africa's PVoC programme requires that certain categories of imported goods be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity issued by an accredited body in the country of origin. The enforcement deadline for mandatory PVoC compliance is 20 September 2026. Importers who cannot produce a valid CoC at the port of entry risk fines of up to 15% of the CIF value of the shipment.
certificatesofconformity.co.za provides the digital layer that makes CoC verification instantaneous and tamper-evident — enabling SARS Customs officers, BMA agents, and clearing agents to verify a CoC in seconds by scanning a QR code or entering a hash. See the PVoC Programme guide and the Certificate of Conformity guide for the full regulatory context.
